Photos from Gretchen's Trip to Philadelphia

These are from a weekend that Gretchen visited a few years ago. It was in the spring. We went to L'Etage and then Jim's Steaks for 3AM cheesesteaks, the worlds' best food, and no, I'm not just saying that because I'm from Philly. There's nothing like the late-night post-bar spectacle that is a Philly cheesesteak establishment.

Do we have pictures of the night when both Gretchen and I visited you? Langdon didn't make it to that one -- I remember Gretchen having the video camera and there being some "Girls Gone Wild" style photos/video.

Oh -- there's that one picture of you and me -- we're dressed alike and I think that I'm biting you!

That was a fun night too. I liked how we switched from red wine to tequila? white wine? both? when we started to get drunk because we predicted that we would start spilling on ourselves. :)

Oh -- that reminds me. Somewhere (not with my regular pictures because I didn't see them) I have some nice pictures of one time when I went to Long Island to visit her. There's a picture of me, Dave, and Gretchen. Gretchen and I had gone out for dinner, then drinking, then karaoke. And we had to call Dave to come and get us because there was no way that we were driving. I am so clearly drunk in the picture.

I predict more picture posts tonight. Last night, I was looking online at how much it would be to get "Grease," "The Sound of Music," and "Clue" on DVD. I'm not sure that I can ever watch "The Sound of Music" again, actually. Not for awhile.

Anyhow -- I ramble. Off to read about medieval Islamic historiographical problems. :)
