Gretchen's Page

Monday, June 06, 2016

I have been thinking of Gretchen a lot with her 38th birthday coming up. She will never turn 38. Here's the song Misha wrote: http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=54752. I'm too sad to write much more right now.

Wasn't sure who still visited gretchens page. It's crazy it's already been 10 years and that her 38th birthday is coming up. I remember the day we found out about Gretchen like it was yesterday!

There are some people that come into your life briefly but leave such a wave in their wake that it ripples on in our lives forever. I knew Gretchen from Prague and still think about her often. I don't think I'll ever forget her grabbing my hand as we headed upstairs to the roof to join our friends for a party, the stars behind her and a huge smile on her face. That was the last night I got to spend with her and it pops into my head every so often. I'm glad that that memory has stayed with me so vividly. That's the way I like to think of her- dancing carefree with a smile on her face that could light the room.
